. School Children in Riverine Areas Receive Life Jackets On Birthday
Top Government officials and Civil Servants have commended the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, for his doggedness, resilience, immense contributions and commitment to the growth and development of the Lagos State workforce.
They gave the commendation at a get-together organised to mark the 50th birthday of the Lagos State Head of Service and a symbolic presentation of Life Jackets to school children living in riverine areas across the State at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Secretariat Alausa, on Friday.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Assistant, Maritime Affairs to the Governor, Mr. Yommy Segun Sopitan, said the present administration deemed it necessary to support and celebrate the HoS on his special day because of his hard work and commitment to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, praying that God would grant him long life.
He stated further that the Head of Service, in his humanitarian drive, has demonstrated great commitment and interest in the safety and security of students in the State, hence the symbolic distribution of safety jackets to school children in the riverine areas to mark his birthday.
In his remarks, the Lagos State Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, thanked Mr. Sopitan and everyone for the gesture while expressing renewed commitment to the growth and development of the State public service.
