SANWO-OLU APPROVES APPOINTMENT OF TWO NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES 

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, in line with the need to reinvigorate the State’s policy implementation apparatus, has approved the appointment of Mr. Ogunsanya, Adewunmi Gbolahan and Mrs. Seriki-Bello, Iyabo Motilayo as Permanent Secretaries in the Lagos State Public Service, effective from Monday, 2nd October, 2023.

A release signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro said the appointments were based on merit, as the appointees were selected from the pool of candidates who had undergone the Screening Exercise for eligible Directors into the position of Permanent Secretaries in the State Public Service, held in April, 2022.

Agoro added that prior to their appointments as Permanent Secretaries in the State Public Service, both appointees were Directors, Administration & Human Resource, GL.17.

While Mr. Ogunsanya, Adewunmi Gbolahan was in the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Mrs. Seriki-Bello, Iyabo Motilayo was in Education District IV.

While wishing the new Permanent Secretaries a successful tenure in Office, the Head of Service expressed his confidence in the new appointees and expects them to demonstrate a high level of dedication, diligence and selflessness in the discharge of their duties to justify the confidence and trust reposed in them by Mr. Governor.
