Mr. Rabiu Olalekan Abayomi was born on 22nd June, 1974 in to the family of Alhaji Rabiu, Mukaila Alade and Alhaja Rabiu Adunni Ayoka (Nee Durosimi) from Ikorodu Town, Itunmoja, Iselu Compound, Ikorodu Central in Lagos State.
He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) from Methodist Boys’ Primary School now known as Ayangburen Primary School, Ikorodu from 1979 to 1985. He Proceeded to United High School, Ikorodu Town in Allinson Street, Ikorodu, where he obtained his Seconday School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1991. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science of Lagos State University (LASU) 1999/2000.
He went for his Professional Computer Training Certificate for 6months at National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in 2001.
In 2001, Mr. Rabiu, O.A. was employed into the Civil Service as a Statistician II and deployed to Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) where he spent 3 months and further deployed to the following MDAs:
• Ministry of Health – Planning, Research and Statistics Department for 3years (2001-2004).
• The defunct Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (PPTESCOM)now Teachers Establishment Pensions Office(TEPO) for 2years (2004-2006)
• Ministry of Education for 3months (2006)
• Debt Management Office for 3years (2006-2009)
• Ministry of Housing for 3years (2009-2012)
• Ministry of Transportation, Head of Planning Unit for 8months (2012-2013)
• Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources/ Office of the Environmental Services (OES) for 7years (2013-2020)
• Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget for 5 months (2020-2021)
• Presently, Public Service Office/Office of the Head of Service, Head of Planning Unit (2021 till date)

He is a fun-loving and jovial young man with an easy going personality and loves meeting people. He is focus, A goal getter, intelligent, disciplined, diligent, hardworking, trustworthy and charismatic in discharging his statutory responsibilities, he is proactive, goal-driven and transparent.
He is happily married to Mrs. Rabiu, Oluwakemi Kafilat (Nee Mosene Elewuala of Ikorodu) and blessed with Three (3) beautiful children.
