MRS. ONIGBANJO, MONSURAT OMORILEWA-Director, Admin. & Human Resource

Mrs Onigbanjo, Omorilewa Monsurat was born on 25 October 1967, to the family of Mr. & Mrs. H. B. Dawodu at Olowogbowo, Lagos Island, Lagos.

She attended Ideal Girls School from 1975-1979 for her Primary Education and Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Surulere from 1981 to 1986, for her Secondary Education.

In her quest to pursue her academic career, she proceeded to Lagos State University, where she bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (Hons), in 1994 and a Master’s Degree, in Public Administration in 1999.

She has earlier worked with the National Orientation Agency as Mobilization Officer from 1997 to 2000 before her appointment into the Lagos State Civil Service on 12 January 2000 as Admin Officer I, GL 09, and later deployed to the Ministry of Housing.

In reference to her sterling performance in the course of discharging her duty, she has served in acting capacity, assisted and held forth for the Directors, Admin. & Human Resource, even as a Principal Admin & HR Officer, GL 12 in various Ministries, such as, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and Public Service Office/Office of the Head of Service (PSO/OHOS).

She has served in various Committees, which includes ‘Portion 2 Program’.

Mrs. Onigbanjo, Omorilewa, was promoted to the post of Deputy Director Administration and Human Resource on 21 July, 2020 and due to her vast experience, diligence, leadership roles and commitment to the service of the State, she was appointed as Director (Administration and Human Resource) Office of PSO/OHOS, on 6th March, 2021.

Mrs. Onigbanjo Omorilewa, has attended various leadership courses that has enhanced her work output and contributed to her growth in the State Public Service and these include:

  1. Use of English, Speech Writing and Public Speaking 2016
  2. Leadership Development & performance enhancement for Public Servant in Lagos State, 2017
  • Effective Management for repositioning & higher performance
  1. Annual Conferences of CIPM in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

  3. Impact of Transformation on work ethics, innovation and attitudinal change 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020
  • Value based leadership; a tool for enhancing service delivery in Lagos state civil service. 2018, just to mention but a few.

At every stage, she has influenced the life and career of officers that worked with her immensely.

Mrs. Onigbanjo Omorilewa, is a Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.

She is married to Mr. Muhammed Tunde Onigbanjo in 1998 and blessed with lovely children.
