ABDUL-RAFIU OMOWOLE FASHOLA -Director,  Staff Housing Board.

Abdul-Rafiu Omowole Fashola was born on the 15th September, 1968 to the Fashola Royal Dynasty of Ogudu land in Kosofe Local Government of Lagos State by H .R.M Alaiyeluwa Oba Nojimudeen Akinwunmi Fashola, the Ologudu of Ogudu and Olori Saudat Adunni Fashola.

He enrolled for his Primary School Education at Lara Day Nursery and Primary School, Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja between 1972 and later proceeded to Angus Memorial High School and Igbobi College, Yaba for his Ordinary and Advanced Level School Certificate between 1979 and 1986.

In his pursuit for Scholasticism, Omowole bagged a B.A. (Hons.) and M.P.A from the prestigious Lagos State University in 1991 and 2005 respectively. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

With his penchant to serve Humanity, Abdul-Rafiu started his career in the Public Service of Lagos State via his appointment as a Personnel/Administrative Officer II, GL. 08 in Agege Local Government on 18th November, 1991. He subsequently traversed through Epe, Lagos Island and Apapa Local Government in years 1991, 1999 and 2002 respectively where he left his marks on the Sands of time.

In recognition of his sterling Administrative Acumen vis-à-visProfessional Innovativeness, Leadership Charisma, Strategic Planning & Excellent Inter-personal skills, Business Proficiencies as well as Deliverables and Competencies in the attainment of Organizational Set Goals, he was appointed a Council Manager/Head of Administration of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos State in 2003. To further deploy his wealth of experience gathered in Municipal Administrationover the years, he was subsequently transferred to Oshodi-Isolo, Ifako-Ijaiye, Odi-Olowo, Ikorodu and Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Areas of the State in 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2015 respectively.

In 2017, Abdul-Rafiu was transferred from the Third-Tier Government (i.e. Local Government Service) to the Mainstream of the State Public Service and deployed to the Civil Service Pension Office. Thereafter, he was appointed the Secretary, Staff Housing Board, Public Service Office, Office of the Head of Service in 2018 till date.

Crown Prince Fashola as he is fondly addressed is a Charismatic, astute and seasoned Administrator, team player, trust worthy and highly resilient Director, Administrative and Human Resources GL. 17. He is very dedicated and ever zealous at the attainment of Organizational Goals. His Mentorial and Coaching qualities are highly commendable. He has contributed immensely to the formulation and implementation of Government Policies with special reference to Human Resource Management and Establishment Matters.

As the Chairman, Body of Council Managers and Heads of Administration (2012-2017) in the Unified Local Government Service, Abdul-Rafiu was an integral member of the “Local Government Reforms Committee” inaugurated by the State Government in 2015 to brainstorm and deliberate on Innovative ways in the administration of Municipalities in line with the State Government Vision. He had attended numerous courses and conferences both Local and International scene specifically in the United Kingdom and Latin America.

Abdul-Rafiu loves watching football, mentoring and travelling. He is a devoted Muslim. He is happily married to Mrs. Mary Oluwatosin Fashola and blessed with Loving Children,
