Lagos State Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola has urged officers in the State Public Service to be determined and focused in discharging their duties just as she urged them to continue to strive hard to achieve success.
Ademola, who spoke in Lagos during the Officer of the Quarter Award of the Public Service Office held in its Conference Room, noted that the award was instituted in order to recognise and reward excellence and commitment on the part of staffers of the Public Service Office.
“It is one of the many ways the Public Service Office seeks to motivate staff who have distinguished themselves excellently in the discharge of their duties. I am therefore delighted that we have instituted this Award to reward excellence, efficiency and diligence among staff of the Public Service Office,” the Head of Service averred.
She congratulated and commended the two awardees, Mrs. Oluyemisi Ogunyemi, a Chief Administrative and Human Resource Officer who won in the senior category and Mr. Adewole Agunbiade, an Office Attendant who won in the junior category for their positive contributions to the Public Service Office and urged them to continue to work hard.
Earlier in her address of welcome, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Fiyinfoluwa Ogunbanke noted that the awards were well deserved by the awardees, adding that they were selected having gone through a transparent screening process that was based on merit, dedication and commitment to duty amongst other criteria.
The Permanent Secretary who spoke through the Director, Administrative and Human Resources, Mr. T. A. Buraimoh urged the awardees to continue to put in their best at all times just as she asked other members of staff to emulate the awardees in order to earn similar recognition in future.
